The E power chord. Notice finger tip joint pressed in, middle joint sticking up. Arm is "heavy". 
Before releasing E, touch 3 to 2nd string for D chord.
Now, with 3 as guide, go into the D chord.
Keep 3 down while 1 goes into bar for A chord. 
Now release 3 on A chord. 
Preparation for run. Place 3 on first note before coming out of A chord. 
Left hand is ready for run, A chord released. 
Left hand stretches out for last run. If you have trouble, you need left hand development
