100 Graded Classical Guitar Studies
by Frederick Noad. Classical Guitar. 176 pages. Published by Amsco. (AM38597)

Q:
Who is this book for?
A: The classical student who has been playing for over a year at minimum, and has begun to build a foundation of technique and learned how to practice (hopefully, has gone through The Principles) and needs a series of excellent, and progressively challenging pieces for both Horizontal and Vertical Growth.

Fred Noad has put together quite a nice collection of GRADED (from easy to difficult) solo classical guitar pieces from the great guitarist composers of the 19th century, Sor, Giuliani, and Carcassi. These are great for both Horizontal and Vertical Growth.

In addition, Mr. Noad has provided excellent historical notes accompanying each piece, throwing light on the evolution of each composers talent and thinking, as well as on the evolution of the guitar itself.

Here is a student playing an arpeggio study from this book....
