Once you get there, Jamie & Geraldine will make you feel at home, you won't be nervous at all. Jamie will critique everything you do with the guitar. He's EXTREMELY intelligent & perceptive; he'll see things you never noticed about your playing. More importantly, he's very talented at transferring the knowledge to others, unlike some great players who don't know how to tell someone in WORDS what to do, HE CAN.

To get ready for a lesson, prepare a list of the things you want to demonstrate to Jamie & get his opinion about. For example, a song you can ALREADY play, chords, 12-bar blues progression, scales, and something you're working on that you can't play yet.

Also have him critique your performance of all the typical Rock techniques like bends, vibrato, slides, hammer-ons & pull-offs...show him where you are with those things and he'll straighten out anything you're doing wrong.

Bring a notebook, any songbooks you're using, and a few blank cassette tapes to record your lesson. Then you can play back every minute of your lessons later at home to refresh your memory.. Believe me, it will be the experience of your guitar-playing life! Have fun, you won't regret it!
