Hi Jamie, Thank you so much for the lesson on Thursday. I practiced the approach to the neck as you asked me to. Also some no tempo for you to review.

I also look forward to another lesson over Skype...it was great seeing and hearing you inperson as well.

Shirley, on that exercise I want 234 brought over at the same time. In any case, it is very good, 95%.

The last 5% would be to get that pinky to look as good as the ind :D ex in terms of its curl. Compare the two, notice how you have the nice bend in the index distal, that allows the arm to relax and add its weight to the fingers. See if you can get the pinky to do that. It will mean resisting the urge to have the elbow come in, and making the pinky stretch out and curl as it takes its position on the new string.

Work with it, if you can't get it, I'll fix it when I see you.

In any case, I want to see the walking ex next, go on to them, beginning with 1-4. Follow my advice above when doing them. Very good work! :D
Best,
Jamie

Thank you Jamie, when I played it back I was that the pinky wasn't in possition. Do you want my elbow out from the bodyto the headstock, or further under the guitar? " It will mean resisting the urge to have the elbow come in" is what you said. I'm looking a the photo of you in "Beyond The Walkng Exercizes", and it's pretty much way under the neck. Is that what your are referring to?

I will work on this advice and repost early next week.

Happy Day to ya, Jamie

The elbow may have to be out in both senses Shirley. Experiment.
