Solo #4 with backing track in A

Postby ShirleyIplay » Mon Aug 15, 2011 8:40 pm

Hi folks,
here is two solo #4's with backing track from R& B course (one of Jamie's)
They are done from the backing tracks brought over to "Transcribe" That way the backing track will play over and over and over and.....
so I can get the solo over it.

Shirley,

That sounds so good! Wow.

Two questions: 1) that isn't solo 3, I think it's solo 4, is that right? I haven't gotten to 4 yet but think I should be able to recognize solo 3 by now. And 2) where did you get Jamie's backing track? Your solo sounds so sweet over it.

Best,
Marie

You are so right, it is solo #4. [solo #4 everyone]

The solo is on the disk in the disk. If you bring up the disk from your "drive" and look under :

D: R & B Foundation Course
Pentatonics
Shuffles
Near the bottom you will find the two I used "Shuffle in A 60" and "Shuffel in A 100"

There is more "stuff" on her disk than meets the eye, if you begin with your Drive which mine is D: for the DVD drive then click your way down to the shuffels. Don't bring up the disk for the course, it's not on it that way.
Hope that helps.

Okay, yes, I see those shuffles now. I never would have noticed that if you hadn't pointed it out, thank you!!

I'm really looking forward to working on solo 4, I think it just sounds so wonderful.

Thanks for the comments Marie. Nice to meet you. I've been folowing your progress. NIce job, by the way.

Solo 4 may be my favorite. If you do that bend right and slow it is beautiful. Just like Jamie wanted it. lol

That was really nice Shirley. I think you mave have improvised the ending compared to the solo that is in the course, but it was really nice. You've really come a long way!
If you want some recipes, I have a few, but nothing's better on guitar, than some "tasty blues stew".
All the Best,
Christian

Great job Shirley. Some real nice stuff in there. Here are a few things........

#1----------

:12 bend is a bit sharp

:27 rhythm on lick is a bit off

:37 notes are not quite the right ones

2nd one.......most of this stuff fixed, especially bend at :12 sounds great on this version

:27 still a bit of rushing

:30 still not quite right
Best,
Jamie

Jamie and everyone, here is the same solo #4 with your backing track again.
I listened real hard to the last lick and slowed down your movements on "Transcribe " to get them right.
Hope this is better. Using a guitar with thinner strings on this one.
