Solo #3 - First Four Measures, BPA - 60 and 80 bpm

Postby jrf073109 » Sun Feb 26, 2012 4:15 pm

Jamie:

Hope you are doing well.

I made some new videos of the above.

I feel I am having the following problems at these points:
1) Bend is still too sharp at the end of the second measure
2) Slide at the beginning of the third measure

The videos are as follows:

60 bpm - 4 clicks:

60 bpm - 2clicks:

80 bpm - 4 clicks:

Thanking you in advance for your review and comments.

Best Regards,

Joe

No big issues here Joe, but you seem to take that bend very carelessly, like you suddenly stop paying attention to it and just rush through it. Bend slowly at these speeds, like the other notes....and MAKE it sound good!

Jamie:

Thanks very much for your review and comment.

I am going back to no tempo inm order to get that bend correct.

Then I will post some more videos.

Best,

Joe

Looks like you're doing well, Joe. Like Jamie said, it seems like you're rushing through your bend and I'd also say you're rushing through your slide. It seems like these are sticking points for you mentally and you're trying to get through them as quickly as possible. Enjoy the ride my man and treat each note as they should be treated - with focus and attention. I really think it's more of a mental issue than a physical one, because your bends looked solid from a physical perspective. Enjoy the course and I look forward to seeing your future progress. Good luck!
If you want some recipes, I have a few, but nothing's better on guitar, than some "tasty blues stew".
All the Best,
Christian
