Everyone Invited To Post Videos For Feedback: Instructions

This forum is for those players who would like to get on the path of progress and improve their playing. We invite you to post a video of anything you would like, preferably one that indicates where you feel you need work. Jamie and other forum members will assess your playing and tell you what you need to do to improve. This is also the place for all those working with Guitar Principles products.

Hi Jamie

Just posting first video to see if I can actually do that! Also would appreciate initial comments on seating and holding guitar position.

Best wishes

Tony,

I would suggest you start your own thread with your posting - it will make it easier for Jamie and everyone to follow along.

Also your video is private and can't be viewed - you should change the settings in Youtube to 'Public' or 'Unlisted'

Thanks Greg and Jamie
I have changed the settings to unlisted and allow comments. I will start a new thread and hopefully you can open the link.

Best wishes

Jamie,

I have been getting your newsletter for sometime now and I am just thrilled at the work and information you give. I hope to be able to figure out the new "youtube" process and I think it could be very helpful as well as a good challenge to improve my playing which I know I need. I love my music and my guitar. I play a classical guitar but I love solo arrangments of popular music. I have performance anxiaty that really keeps me from play as much in pubic as I have been asked to do. I do great by myself but in front of an audiance.....ughh. Anyway, thank you for you devotion to the guitar and the beautiful music that we all have the potential to play on it.

Jamie,

This is my first attempt at a video recording so I know I can improve on that. Nerves messed up my playing (of course) but as I said it is my first attempt to share on here. I am exceted about finding the forum. It is alwasy nice to get feedback. I recorded this with a "webcam" so quality may be questionable. Don't have any expensive recording equipment at the moment. Thank you again for all you do for music and the guitar. Let me know if at least I have the recording process and sharing currect. I don't even know if I am posting this to the right place?

Hi Jamie,

This is my first post. I am a huge fan of your method and I have been learning with your Rock and Blues foundation course.
I posted videos on youtube and I would be glad if you could give me a feedback and tell me on what should I focus my practice :

I learned something new about uploading your videos to Youtube. When you video yourself playing the guitar, make sure you are wearing a different shirt each time. I uploaded my most recent video wearing the same old shirt as a previous video, and after waiting forever for it to upload, Youtube gave me a message that the video was a copy of a previous one and it wouldn't post it. I had to delete an older one and re-upload in order for them to post it. Dumb, huh?
Love and Gratitude,
Cheryl
