Andantino p75

Hi Jamie

Here is my version of Andantino by Giuliani.

I am afraid that being fairly slow, it exposes my weaknesses. :-)

I tried to mute the rests in the first part, I am not sure if that is required, but it seemed like something I should practice doing although it does disrupt my flow a bit.

Hi Simon,

Very good. Nice and smooth, although I know you are not as relaxed as you could be. As we have spoken about before, you would benefit from deepening the bottom of your practice. This will beco1me more apparent as the difficulty of repertoire increases.

In any case,

meas. 19 is wrong, you need the bass notes.

meas. 27, same measure actually, you block the bass. This is because of the uncomfortable left hand operation.
Best,
Jamie

Thanks Jamie

Yes, as things get more challenging I am discovering that I have to work on eliminating things I could get away with in the easier pieces.

I know this piece was not as good as it could be, but I posted it as it does show my issues.

I have had a particular problem with playing loudly and accurately which seems to stem from a poor right hand position, but I am working on it. Also my rest strokes are rather variable both in timing and tone.
