iPhone Tuning App

Postby jmessick » Sun Apr 03, 2011 11:43 pm

I just downloaded the n-Track Tuner app from the iTunes app store because I didn't want to get off my butt and walk 9 feet to get my electronic tuner.

I LOVE this app! As far as I can tell it is as accurate as my dedicated electronic tuner if not more accurate. Even better, I can tune much more quickly with this app because it shows the percentage of deviation from standard pitch for the closest note, instead of just giving a high/low visual indicator. It does provide this as well, via red/green indicator. Additionally, you can have the app create audible tones for the desired note, or any frequency from 29hz up to 20 Khz. Distressingly, I find I can't hear much about 12 Khz!

Price? Free! Though I think I'd gladly pay a couple of bucks for this app, just as a thank you to n-Track. They do sell a multi-track recording app, which I am not interested in, but if the quality of this free app is any indication then it's probably worth consideration.

BTW, this app definitely works on the iPod Touch, which is what I actually have.
