Drum Machines

Postby Bill » Tue Apr 17, 2012 3:26 pm

Hi Everyone,

This past week, I have been looking into possibly purchasing a drum machine to expand my playing with different rhythms, composing and to practice playing in a band context (without the band). So far, it looks like the Boss DR-880 is one that has many of the qualities that I am looking for, but it seems to have been on the market for a number of years without being updated.

Does anyone have any experience with this drum machine or others, have recommendations or other options? I am more interested in acoustic sounding drums than a more techno based machine and certainly a machine that either has shuffle rhythms or can have them programmed into the machine.

Thanks for any response.

All the best.

Practice does not make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect. Practice slow to learn and play fast.
