G-Scale @60-4 & 60-2, for review by Jamie

Postby LeeS » Tue Aug 16, 2011 3:39 pm

Hi Jamie, I have been working on the G-scale at the 2nd fret, and have worked up to 60-2clicks.
The one place I am still having some trouble is transitioning from 3rd string 4th finger (C-note)
to 2nd string 2nd finger (D-note). I have more trouble ascending than descending. Please review
the two videos below.

G-Scale, 2nd Fret @60-4 clicks is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fl4aXZ86GDA

G-Scale, 2nd Fret @60-2 clicks (2 times through) is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Wyojfv73Ng

Thanks in advance for your time and feedback.

Regards,

Lee

Hi Jamie, I noticed from some other posts that I was not clear on the type of scale. G-Major scale,
at the 2nd fret. Sorry about that.

Hi Lee,

It looks really good, you're form is excellent. Here are two things:

Ascending, make sure that 3 relaxes its pressure as 4 goes down, when you are on the 3rd string. That could be your problem, and will be a problem in any case as speed goes up.

Stop anchoring that pinky on the pick hand!

Great work Lee, keep going! :D
Best,
Jamie
