Essential Licks 1-7

Postby blueguitar » Wed Oct 12, 2011 11:15 pm

Hey Jamie, Team, here my Essential Licks if you wouldnt mind taking a look please. I was pretty nervous and it didnt go well, but I decided better to show it warts and all. Im not really sure how to do the muting. I think I was pushing with my fingers instead of the wrist a bit much. Thanks so much for your comments!! :D

Not bad Rachel, some better than others.

At :24 you are using only fingers, no forearm. Notice the distal joints, they are almost at a right angle to the fretboard. The angle should be more obtuse. The string tension is collapsing your joints....extend them as you power from the forearm.

I think you should post each of these one at a time, then we can get very specific and polish each one.
Best,
Jamie
