PLAYING IDEA!!! + more = really cool

so... i found out a neat trick today. secret maybe???? or maybe it has already been spoken of? or written about? either way. check it out.

Before i mention it i must say. i am left feeling more inspired, excited, genius, and musical!!!

check it:
So your sitting in your room improvising some cool riffs using the g-major scale that you've been practicing in a linear manner, hitting some nice pinch harmonics, throwing some chords in there that you've learned sound good together, maybe even doing something cool with your right hand and playing some other thing close to the "forms" that you've learned to be so comfortable with.....TRY THIS!!!
begin to create/add sounds!! **MENTALLY **CONSCIOUSNESS-LY**EMOTIONALLY** FEELING** (call it what you will) to the music your playing that maybe you can't even come close to playing any time soon/ or your not quite sure how to play but you know you could if you found the right way to play the guitar/ or something that you can do that very moment (then of coarse you'd probably do that)

Now if you couldn't play it then you'd of coarse have some work set out in front of you... if this just so happens to be something you'd want to do??

So in other words... be completely focused on the music and creating music (the more aware you are of what sounds are possible on guitar, the better) till your no longer thinking in the "formed/boxed" like structures that you learned so well (which are probably encoded subconsciously) in relationship to your guitar, and then you begin breaking this boxed way of thinking and begin to cut holes through the box!!`then next thing you know the boxed is all jacked up, then the box will no longer hold you anymore!! then maybe you will manifest from the un-manifested some amazing musical ideas that are completely captivating, or simply beautiful,fun,enjoyable, etc. Then maybe by the end of your life you will have traveled a little tiny bit outside the box of manifested into the seemingly endless space/un-manifested/invisible/musical world/consciousness (call it what you will) and will have opened new doors =OR- destroyed walls for the ones that will follow!

this way.. like it has been mentioned before, your then putting music first, then technique. VS. the other way around.

CD's are an excellent way of opening musical doorways but so is the endless creative potential that is Present for us. Cd's could also be bad... somewhat limiting. ex: you listened to a lot of mediocre music. or even a lot of good music but that all sounds very similar. maybe nature sounds would be more inspiring to one, everyones different.

relaxation/breathing and the right attitude will be of importance. probably an emptying of the mind beforehand as well. maybe eyes closed? or the room in the right setting? or do the same thing but to cds? laying down/eyes closed/ with no guitar/and some earplugs?

ahhh yes.. and you must have the ability to have fun. to really lose/surrender yourself

Hopefully this post will expanded your awareness, show you your own genius/potential possibilities as a musician, inspire you, cure your boredom, or simply spark something inside you!
