~principled practice sounds good~

Getting to the bottom of your practice sounds good....Sometimes I get surprised at how good it sounds to the onlooker....

I was practicing some new fingerings I developped for single note harmonic progressions at no tempo and full speed alternating today in a music store for a while in the showroom floor, and a very good looking girl sat on the floor about a yard from where I was. Then she started talking on her cell phone while she waited for her daughter. After a while she came to me and told me that her fiance on the phone was asking what was that guitar playing and she told me he was a big guitar player and has about 15 guitars and so forth and he asked her what guitar I was playing. She told him it was a Squier (it was indeed a Squier stratocaster  ) then she asked if she could put the phone up so he could listen to me practice (through a Fender twin set to the lowest possible volume) ...Then she thanked me. and was very nice.

So here you have it. Principled practice sounds good. Everyone can practice anywhere and bring some fun to the public as well and , that's for sure; you certainly don't have to be "good enough" as you are practicing

Apparently you are 100% right aussiepete ,worldwide even....Yesterday I was filmed outdoors during a very nice sunny day by two very hot Korean girl tourists with a video camera. I was practicing with an autowah pedal playing bebop/70s funk fusion lines with a drum machine..The two girls were really teletubbie-nice!
