Hi Tadej,

I saw this nice surprise on Facebook today.

The bends sound fine. They are not easy , so congratulations on your work. Check the time in the runs in the middle a bit....in relation to the rhythm section.

All you need to do -which you can afford to do now - is forget the concerns with accuracy and play it like you are playing music with actual feeling and drama ( It is Brian May with Queen). For that you need to not think anymore and just follow the music and have fun...in other words you can now just become that solo...The technique is fine :) :) :) Good beginning!

ALL MY BEST TO YOU.

since you asked for feedback, here's some feedback:

( i listened to two covers - 1) unforgiven, and 2) bohemian rhapsody solo

1) i liked the way that you switched tones for the different sections of the song. the tones were pretty accurate for my ears. if i was your teacher, i would encourage you to work on the subtler forms of expression..... for example: making some notes louder or softer; articulating some notes differently; the catchphrase is expression.... making the notes "sing" ....

i would bet that each time Kirk Hammett plays the song, he does it a bit differently.... and that's part of what sets him apart from other guitar players ....

2) the intonation of the bends is spot on .... i would work on the rate of the bends .... ( i.e. how fast or slow the target note is achieved ) .... some players like to take their time getting to the note ... others like to get there quickly ... and all the flavours between ...

no problem.

I had the pleasure of teaching students the music of metallica and Kirk Hammett is an excellent player in a very interesting band. If you enjoyed playing the solo to "Bohemian Rhapsody", you might check out some earlier Queen material.

I was reading your post yesterday and I'm impressed at how you've applied the Principles. In my opinion, the Principles stands alone in the field of guitar instruction. I also own the first book. I've had success applying the Principles with students and with myself.

I was also impressed with one of your posts :

When I was your age, I also enjoyed playing the music of my favorite bands.

It's an old cliche, but here goes anyway: music is a journey .... best of luck on your journey ....
