Jamie, more thanks for the R&B course

Postby aussiepete » Wed Oct 14, 2009 9:33 am

I debated for a while whether to get the R&B course or not. I am a long time player and thought it may be beneath me

Although I am no slouch when it comes to playing, I had no awareness of the small technical details which make playing so much easier, fluid, and therefore musical and expressive. I am your typical player who learnt where to put the fingers but not HOW. No one else does it like you Jamie, many many thanks 8-)

I agree, except that I'm still an intermediate player. I actually had the course for a while before I really started to immerse myself in it. At the time, I was working more on strumming, chord changes, and singing while playing guitar, so I wasn't quite ready to start working on soloing techniques. Since then, I have been working dilligently on improving my techniques and I have the course to thank for it. This course is truly the only one out there that goes in depth into explaining and demonstrating the techniques involved in performing guitar solos. My latest challenge is performing vibrato consistently and smoothly. With the instructions included in the course, and with the feedback I've received in this forum, I'm getting closer and closer to achieving that goal. Thanks again Jamie!

Jamie is very happy to hear what you guys have written. Could we ask you both to post these reviews on Amazon for us? We just listed the Rock & Blues Course there and we could use some reviews so that people know what it's about. The link to the page is below:

Thanks a million!!

Anyone who would like to post a review on the Principles Book or the R&B course on Amazon is much appreciated! We could really use your support during these tough economic times. :)

I posted my review yesterday, but I guess it can take up to 48 hours for it to appear. I guess it has to be approved first. Anyway, I hope it helps. These economic times are difficult for everyone, but if we all pull together, we'll make it through! Let me know if there's anything else I can do.

Thanks, Chef! Strange how your review isn't up while Mark was able to get his through right away. Maybe something went wrong on their end.

...and thanks, Mark!

I wonder if it's because Pete and I are outside the U.S. I'm in St. Lucia right now. Hmmmm...

BTW, I was just checking to see if my review was posted yet (it isn't) and I noticed that your program is listed as being in Region 1, which may limit sales overseas. Is it really limited to that region?

The listing is incorrect. The R&B course plays in anyone's computer across the globe, including on the sandy beaches of St. Lucia...sounds like one of the most perfect places to be while learning the course..

It's kind of why I mentioned that Amazon may have made an error with your submission. It is not one of those most perfect places when it comes to competency. But in consideration of their size as a company, it's what's to be expected. It is the weekend, though, so I imagine their wheels are running slower.

Thanks, Aussie for sending in a review. I'll keep an eye out, too.

I figured the course could be used anywhere, that's why I figured I'd bring it to your attention.

Sorry to bring up St. Lucia while you're getting hammered with snow this weekend. I actually grew up in Hyde Park, NY, so I know exactly what you're going through!
