Here is solo at 100 bpm. I didn't capture my left hand unfortunately. If needed I will try again. Lou.

Hi Lou, I find that all the bends are too flat (not going high enough). What I would do to fix that is if you're doing a whole tone bend, compare the target note with the actual fretted note two frets higher than the first note. For example : if you bend from G to A on the 2nd string 8th fret, then compare the bend with the A on the 10th fret. It's supposed to sound the same.

It will sound much much better and musical once the bends are at the right pitch. Let's see what Jamie think!

Ok, I'll post them in the other forum next time. I am electronically challenged but I'll figure it out someday. Thank you for your input I will work on the bends to right pitch. Lou.

Also the bends are to fast, to '/' (remember the drawing on the DVD ;-))Bend more gradual. Practice it ultra slow with the image in your head. Ps. I practice bending to the right pitch with a tuner and I try to memorize the destined sound and 'curve' of the string.

Hi Lou,

It is very clear here that your fingers are very capable of doing what is necessary. Strength and coordinated movement, even relaxed control is quite good. However, there are wrong notes, and flat bends.

The reason? The usual.....not enough intense focus on EVERY phrase, and EVERY note, as needed, during practice. Lou, you, and everyone must understand that part of the process of you pulling out the best in yourself is to compare your version to one played at a very high level of quality and to ask yourself "Is mine as good as that in all respects? Where am I lacking? Have I done my best to close the gap?"

It is when the answers to all of these are "yes", that you should post.

Do you feel you have done that?
Best,
Jamie

If I may rephrase what Jamie said in slightly different terms:

When I watch that clip I get the impression and vibe that you are not listening to the music you are making and that you are not the music.

You need to be the music, to play music.

and

you need to listen to the beautiful or frightening or whatever... music you are making to see if you are indeed playing what is needed.

The basic chops are tight as Jamie says....

Perhaps the right term is not listening...but experiencing and being....When you experience music to the point that you are the music then the music is real. Many may not dig your music for taste reasons...but it will be real and true.
