Rainbow - I Surrender- (by Raif)

Postby Raif » Wed Jan 05, 2011 6:56 am

Happy New Year dear friends ,

Ritchie Blackmore being one of my favorite guitar players (I like people who can mix Arabian scales with Flamenco, Classical and Hard Rock), my first post of the year will be this piece featured in Rainbow's "Difficult To Cure" album. It's called "I Surrender".

As you'll certainly notice, I'm not familiar with the wrist vibrato (yet), so I'm faking with the finger  ; however I can bend now in some positions and that's enough to make me happy because I can see and hear my evolution :P

I hope you'll like it :?

Cheers from Algeria

Hey Raif, that was real good! I enjoyed that, and I love that song too. You have very nice left hand action, real smooth.

Did you make that backing track?
Best,
Jamie

Dear Jamie,

thanks for the compliment

the backtrack was downloaded from the net and that's my problem :?

it's very difficult to find backtracks with vocals (if I sing, only farmers will be happy because of the rain). Even the pseudo "minus one" series are actually minus two: Singer + Guitarist

Vox came up with the JamVox which is supposed to eliminate the voice or the guitar or...you name it from any mp3 or Audio song to let you play along with the accompaniment, but I'm not sure to what extente it's really efficient :|

Has anyone tried this in the forum?

Cheers
Raif
