The Principles of Correct Practice for Guitar-Hard Copy

This book alone is worth my entire guitar book library.... GP marked a definite turning point in my playing. I've been playing guitar for 9 years (started late when I was 24) and got this book about 5 years ago when I was at my wits end. Since then I've "learned how to learn" anything i want to play on guitar. I also used the DVD and did 2 private lessons via webcam with her (highly recommended). The principals taught me to be mindful of tension and finger independence. I did the walking exercise everyday for 3 months (hardcore) and vastly improved my left hand technique (my pinky is now strong and independent) which made everything i was already playing sound much better. I don't do the exercises as much as I'd like (guitar is just a hobby for me) but I use the BPA whenever I want to learn something new or challenging. Nothing easy or instant to the road of success but definitely a simple and straightforward path to get you to wherever you want to go on the guitar. Its up to you how far you want to go....
