Now we are going to do a very important exercise. We are going to walk all fingers
across the strings with The Heavy Arm. Keeping the shoulder relaxed while fingers
are playing is one of the secrets of great guitar playing. In this exercise, we introduce
the arm to this feeling. Once you have it, you'll never want to play without it!

Even doing this much, and practicing it a few minutes a day, will radically change your guitar playing. If you want to see what this can lead to, as you finish the Walking Exercises from “The Principles of Correct Practice For Guitar”, click the button below, and I’ll show you a few students who did just that, and you’ll see how easy it is for them to use each finger with great control and relaxation.

I've recently started using "The Principles". I'm absolutely loving it so far. Your approach lines up perfectly with what I have learned in the past from meditation, yoga and lifting weights and seeing all the parallels is incredible and convinces me that your method will work for me.

I've been in a rut for a while, now I'm super excited about practice!
